Rolling has served as Burton police chief since 2005.

He began his public service in 2003 as a full-time firefighter and in 2004 a Texas police officer.

Rolling said he is "a true full-time public servant with an incredible work ethic" and that he and feels he can offer more to the citizens of Precinct Four.

Rolling has been a canine officer for more than 10 years and has assisted local, state and federal agencies with criminal investigations.

Those investigations have included not only narcotics cases but also violent and lower-level crimes, he said.

Locally, Rolling said he assists the Washington County Sheriff Office when it has calls in the Burton area and also assists the Department of Public Safety with automobile accidents in western Washington County.

He also said that if there is a medical call, he also assists Washington County Emergency Medical Services when needed. Rolling said he is also a certified EMT (intermediate level) with more than 15 years in the medical field.

Rolling has been awarded for received an award for valor from the 100 Club.

He and his wife Sheila have two sons who attend the Burton High School and two granddaughters who attend Burton Elementary and Burton Junior High.

"I look forward to expanding my role in the public safety sector and assisting the citizens on a broader basis if elected constable," Rolling said.
